PNCLL Report: Frowny Faces for Broncos, Vandals, and Coyotes
This’ll be a quick update.
Oregon State 10, Boise State 8
Box Score - 3/10/12
In PNCLL D1-South action, Oregon State came to Boise over the weekend and went home with a W. BSU senior defender and team captain Josh Rude sat with a leg injury. This puts the Broncos (0-1 Division, 1-3 overall) in a tough spot in terms of making the playoffs. PNCLL D1-South only gets two spots in the PNCLL Final Four. A loss to the Beavers forces BSU to upset #7 University of Oregon or hope for Portland State to upset Oregon State to re-open the road to the post-season.
Broncos host Montana on Saturday at 4pm at the SUB field on BSU’s campus. Senior Day. Get out there.

Claremont 8, Idaho 6
Box Score - 3/12/12
The University of Idaho (0-0, 2-3) opened up its spring swing through California with a frustrating fall-from-ahead loss to Claremont. The Vandals led at the half but were outscored 5-2 in the second half (and were shut out in the 4th quarter). Though this was an out-of-conference match for Idaho with no playoff implications, it is nonetheless certainly a disappointment.
Check out game shots here and here.

Senior attackman John Kopke is featured in the most picturesque shot that I could identify in my brief survey.
Idaho was off today and continues its spring break competition tomorrow (Thursday) at UCLA.
Whitman College 24, College of Idaho 7
Box Score - 3/10/12
As expected, the ‘Yotes (0-0, 1-1) couldn’t keep pace with the always-dangerous Missionaries. C of I play in PNCLL D2-South while Whitman plays in D2-North, so this was as good as an out-of-conference game. The ‘Yotes are out of action until hosting the University of Portland (D2- South) in Caldwell on March 31.
